Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and de-waste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a HR partner to leaders, aligning people initiatives with business goals.
  • Provide daily tactical people support to employees across the two North Carolina facilities and remote staff in the United States, including Syre's Mebane, NC R&D Facility and Fayetteville, NC Manufacturing Plant.
  • Split time between both locations to ensure consistent HR presence and engagement, spending 2/3 days onsite each week per location. Initial work will be onsite in Mebane 4-5 days per week.
  • Oversee employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Implement scalable people policies and procedures tailored to a startup environment.
  • Recruit for open jobs and manage onboarding to build a strong workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, in partnership with a PEO provider.
  • Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Act as a change agent, driving people initiatives that support business growth.
  • Partner with leadership to foster a positive, diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing organization, preferably in a startup or fast paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Ability to commute to and work onsite at both the Mebane, NC and Fayetteville, NC locations.
