Overview

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team and support all aspects of human resources operations in our fast-paced staffing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day HR functions including onboarding, HR administration and supporting recruitment efforts, and compliance. This role requires someone who is hands-on, organized, and passionate about creating positive employee experience in a high-volume environment.

Base pay

$60,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding & Offboarding. Facilitate new hire orientations and onboarding for both corporate and placed associates.
  • Ensure completion of background checks, I-9s, E-Verify, and new hire documentation.
  • Manage offboarding processes, including termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Recruitment & Staffing Support. Partner with recruiting team, assist with job postings as needed.
  • Help ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee, including client onboarding requirements.
  • Support internal hiring and recruitment efforts as needed.
  • HR Support Monitor HR inbox and respond to associate inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Assist in resolving associate relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Support performance management processes and documentation.
  • Coordinate associate engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
  • HR Administration. Maintain and update associate records in the HRIS and filing systems.
  • Assist with policy development and updates to the associate handbook.
  • Perform various reports in systems, prepare memos, and draft new documents.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Accounting & Payroll Support. Support payroll processing by providing accurate associate data and updates to the accounting/payroll team.
  • Respond to related questions and liaise with providers as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of HR experience; staffing or recruiting industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Paychex, Paycom).
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • HR certification is a plus but not required.
