Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in North Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR practices and must have hands-on payroll processing experience. This position plays a vital role in supporting our employees and ensuring HR operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle documentation
  • Administer benefits, leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation claims
  • Support employee relations by addressing questions, concerns, and conflict resolution
  • Maintain HRIS systems and generate reports as needed
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
  • Participate in recruitment and new hire orientation
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement activities

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a strong focus on payroll processing
  • Proficient in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, or similar)
  • Solid understanding of HR laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
