Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in North Jacksonville. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR practices and must have hands-on payroll processing experience. This position plays a vital role in supporting our employees and ensuring HR operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle documentation
- Administer benefits, leaves of absence, and workers’ compensation claims
- Support employee relations by addressing questions, concerns, and conflict resolution
- Maintain HRIS systems and generate reports as needed
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies
- Participate in recruitment and new hire orientation
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and engagement activities
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a strong focus on payroll processing
- Proficient in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Paylocity, or similar)
- Solid understanding of HR laws and regulations
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus
- Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
