Responsibilities

• Provide a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by ensuring food quality and freshness.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by offering a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over tasks.
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, replenishment, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, organizing, and storing reserve product.
• Be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks.
• Follow Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent guest experience while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.
• Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift.
• Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
• Prepare handcrafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.
• Follow all food safety requirements and monitor temperature sensitive items as outlined in best practice.
• Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.
• Identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practice.
• Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices.
• Follow perishable inventory procedures to ensure accurate recording of inventory.
• Execute sampling best practices.
• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Complete all required training and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work in a safe manner and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) with compliance to laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with their needs.
• Thank guests and communicate appreciation for their visit.
• All other duties based on business needs.

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate using multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and related technology.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; resolve guest questions quickly.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Physical and Work Environment

• Ability to handle cash operations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift/move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance; may work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to -10°F and in environments with allergens.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift and work in varying temperatures and elements as required for duties such as Drive-Up and carryout.
