Senior Social Worker – CP/CIN/Assessment Team in Bury St Edmunds

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Social Worker to join the Child Protection, Child in Need, and Assessment Team in Bury St Edmunds. This full-time placement offers a three-month contract with a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and ensure safeguarding, following legal frameworks and procedures.
• Develop and implement effective care plans, monitoring and reviewing them regularly to safeguard children’s welfare.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, community resources, and external agencies to achieve best outcomes for children and families.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to junior staff, supporting their development and contributing to an inclusive team culture.
• Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings, advocating for the best interests of the children involved.
