General Description
Under the supervision of the Manager, Infrastructure and Security, supports and maintains District End-User Technology device management infrastructure; provides operational support for services that license software, enable printing, or provide other end-user functionality to District End-User Technology; provides advice and guidance to faculty and departments in technology selection decisions; provides training to staff; assists in the maintenance of user accounts; performs a variety of skilled and technical duties related to the installation, configuration, maintenance and repair of District End-User Technology; provides technical support.
District End-Users Technology is herein defined as any “up-to-the-wall” District purchased technology, software, or hardware that integrates with networks, servers, systems, or applications AND which employees use to perform their work functions, or students use to complete educational objectives.
This position is assigned to the Visalia Campus, Full-Time 12-month position.
Monday – Friday, 7:45 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Initial placement is at $90,563.

Job Duties:
- Provides leadership within the department and coordinates projects and other assignments requiring a high level of responsibility and independence.
- Provides training, maintains documentation, and develops deployment procedures to support employees and affiliates in support of the position objectives.
- Works in a team environment with other members of the Technology Services staff to maintain the district's technology infrastructure and support users in workspaces and classrooms.
- Consults with various departments to determine current and future technical needs; works with faculty and staff on evaluating and acquiring District End-User Technology.
- Participates in the planning, administration, and maintenance of technical functions and matters related to District End-User Technology.
- Performs user help desk functions, operations, record-keeping, documentation, and communication to log and track resolution of issues, problems, and requests.
- Under the direction and support of the Systems Administrator, assists in maintaining user accounts on District networks and systems.
- Under the direction and support of the Systems Administrator, support and maintain services that include, but are not limited to, District End-User Technology device management platforms, print services, licensing servers, system monitoring tools, and campus alert tools.
- Support, recommend, and maintain technology orchestration tools, device management platforms, and other District End-User Technology management platforms.
- Develop and maintain configurations, policies, scripts, and settings to orchestrate application deployment, device compliance, customizations, security features, and device and user enrollment.
- Utilize automation tools to create mechanisms and workflows for tasks such as device enrollment, application deployment, policy enforcement, and reporting.
- Monitor systems and management platform performance; generate reports on compliance, device health, and security status.
- Under the direction and support of the IT Cyber Security Administrator, implement and enforce security policies and compliance rules for all devices and users.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to District End-User Technology management tools, automation, orchestration, and related technologies while collaborating with other department staff as needed.
- Tests software performance and conformance to District policies prior to releasing new applications for District End-User Technology use.
- Provides end-user guidance for district applications and services that have been designed, approved, and are documented for use on personal devices.
- Maintains a current and accurate inventory of technology related fixed assets.
- Participates in District assigned training that support the objective of the position.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- A wide variety of technology, software, peripherals, and methods related to District End-User Technology.
- Principles of training, basic instruction, and reinforcement techniques for providing direction in the use of District End-User Technology.
- Principles of District End-User Technology security methods, concepts, and practices.
- Principles of District End-User Technology management at scale, including automation, orchestration, device enrollment, device policy management, application management, and conditional access.
- Commonly used and industry standard District End-User Technology management platforms that include, but are not limited to Intune, Jamf, and Google Apps for Enterprise.
- Commonly used and industry standard end-user desktop environments and operating systems.
- Commonly used and industry standard end-user software applications that include, but are not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, common web browsers, and Acrobat Reader.
- Principles and methods of deploying commercial software at scale. This includes but is not limited to scripted and silent software deployment, obtaining software documentation to utilize advanced deployment methodologies, licensing services, and other device management tools.
- Issue tracking, documentation, and project management software, services, and methods.
- Information systems technology and terms including recent developments in networking and computer technology.
- Oral and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:
- The position requires an associate degree in computer science or related technical field and six years of experience in District End-User Technology device support, with two years of experience in District End-User Technology device management platforms.

- Any combination of education and experience that provides the required equivalent qualifications for the position.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced application deployment methodologies.
- Experience with common operating system scripting languages.
