Lead Automation/Manual Tester
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Lead Automation/Manual Tester to support our customer, USPS and their Logistics Tech Services Group. This position is fully remote. Responsibilities include: Performing test execution and providing ad hoc testing support throughout all SDLC phases. Creating and executing test scenarios, working with the development team for defect resolution, and demonstrating user stories and functionality to the client. Verifying test conditions using backend systems, including running SQL queries and checking service responses using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools. Providing direction to the development and testing team members as Scrum Master, conducting Agile Ceremonies, overseeing work and release management. Ensuring quality, meeting specified expectations, reducing the risk of errors, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Skilled in: Creating documentation and communicating clear concise test plans, test scenarios and test cases using HP ALM or similar testing tools. Running manual tests and incorporating automated testing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses. Building and utilizing Test Automation scripts and framework (UFT). Creating detailed defect reports. Utilizing DevOps and Agile methods to promote collaboration and flexibility in software testing and development. Using Version One or other work management tools. Understanding the complete life cycle of a system (SDLC) application and operating systems. Knowledge of Web services and verification tools such as Postman, SoapUI. Comprehension of Database and writing SQL queries. Researching and troubleshooting ad hoc questions and support issues. Motivated self-starter with excellent analytical, organization, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with key stakeholders. Working knowledge of: DevSecOps SCRUM Master VersionOne Postman, SoapUI, AML, UFT Secure Coding practices Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices PLSQL Qualifications: Minimum 8+ years of experience and a Bachelors degree (or commensurate experience) Clearance Required: Ability to obtain or maintain a Public Trust clearance Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technology or software development preferred.
