cFocus Software is seeking a highly skilled
Systems Administrator Infrastructure Engineer
to support the
Security Tools and Infrastructure Modernization (STIM)
contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Systems Administrator will provide enterprise-level expertise in
Windows and Linux system administration, Active Directory management, virtualization, automation, and disaster recovery solutions . The successful candidate will ensure the
availability, security, and performance of infrastructure systems
across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. Responsibilities
Administer and maintain
Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP (IPv4/IPv6), and certificate services .
Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot
Windows Server and Red Hat Linux systems
for reliability, security, and performance.
Configure and maintain
server clustering and virtualization platforms
(VMware, Hyper-V).
Design and implement
automation solutions
using
Bash, Perl, Python, JavaScript, PowerCLI, and PowerShell .
Support
disaster recovery and backup strategies , including hybrid cloud solutions (CommVault Metallic Backups).
Manage and deploy
OS updates, upgrades, security patches, and enterprise software
across physical and virtual environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve
LAN/WAN connectivity, performance, and throughput issues .
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise IT modernization projects.
Maintain detailed
system documentation, SOPs, and configuration records .
Ensure compliance with
CIS Controls, NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, and DISA STIGs .
Provide mentorship to junior team members and serve as a subject matter expert for infrastructure-related challenges.
Participate in
24/7/365 on-call rotations
as required.
Required Experience
8+ years
of experience in enterprise systems administration and IT infrastructure management.
Expertise in
Active Directory, Group Policy, certificate services, DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP, Windows, and Red Hat Linux .
Strong background in
server administration, virtualization, and clustering .
Experience with
hybrid cloud backup and disaster recovery solutions .
Proficiency in
scripting and automation
using Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, or PowerCLI.
Knowledge of
federal security hardening standards
(CIS Controls, NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs).
Proven ability to
analyze requirements, implement solutions, and optimize enterprise infrastructure .
Education & Certifications
Bachelors degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
(or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Must hold and maintain one or more of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
VMware Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV 2024)
Or higher-level IT/InfoSec related certification
Clearance Requirement
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a
Public Trust (High-Risk, Level 5) clearance .
