As the Associate Production Manager for Sweaters, you’ll manage the end-to-end product lifecycle — from initial development to final delivery — with a focus on sweater category. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure our sweater products meet design intent, cost goals, and quality standards, while delivering on time. Key Responsibilities
Sweater Product Development & Costing Lead pre-costing and development process for all sweater styles each season Partner with design, tech, and merchandising to review yarn selection, stitch complexity, and trims for cost and feasibility Own DV (Development) and costing meetings, ensuring alignment on final vendor placement and target cost Evaluate sweater construction, stitch counts, and yarn consumption to proactively identify production or costing issues Stay current on yarn trends, stitch techniques, and manufacturing capabilities in major sweater regions (e.g., China, Bangladesh, Vietnam) Track and manage all production timelines to ensure on-time delivery Build strong relationships with agents and vendors specializing in sweater manufacturing Communicate clearly with overseas partners to resolve development and production issues Ensure all bulk production meets company quality, safety, and compliance standards in collaboration with QA and Compliance teams Cross-functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Design and Tech Design to translate creative vision into production-ready garments Troubleshoot development and fit challenges specific to sweaters (e.g., shrinkage, torque, stitch integrity) Strategize cross-brand or cross-category vendor placement for optimal margin and delivery What you’ll bring
5-7 years of experience in apparel production or product development, with direct experience in sweaters or knitwear Strong knowledge of sweater construction, yarn types, gauges, knitting techniques, and production limitations Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills Proactive problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail and a high sense of urgency Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PLM tools (DESL or similar) Ability to travel to vendors for development and production follow-up (as needed) Why You’ll Love Working With Us
