SUMMARY: The Product Development & Production Coordinator, Sweater Knits works closely with the Senior Director to coordinate the complete development and execution for Sweater Knits from material sourcing to final production shipment. This role supports the design team to help the brand realize design concepts and samples and production team to manage delivery of finished goods to our global warehouses. Our Coordinator partners with Merchandising to ensure accuracy of product offering to our customers. This role combines design awareness with business skills and follow-up to create and ship products that meet both market and production requirements through material/ technique research and vendor partners coordination. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: Manage and lead daily email communication & follow-up with suppliers and factories from development through to production to maintain calendar milestones, achieve all deliverables, comprehensive knowledge of all submit statuses for meetings/approval milestones, including monitoring and scrutinizing WIP report submits. Attend yarn and manufacturer appointments to maintain comprehensive knowledge of collection qualities/trends and vendor capabilities and pricing. Create, Manage, and Monitor internal tracking charts including tracking allocated inbound parcels, time sensitive outbound parcels, and arranging allocated outbound parcels. Supports design to prepare presentation boards for design meetings while responsible to prepare all raw material assets for all meetings, including pricing and trims. Partner with Design to source, coordinate, and manage all yarn related processes, including arranging swatch standards and requesting basic knitdowns. Partner with Trims, Graphics, and cross category PD's to ensure seasonal themes are aligned in execution and coordinated as needed. Comprehensive knowledge of all inbound submits from overseas vendors and SMS garments. Manage and Maintain Design Manager and Style Manager for sweater knits from development through production. Responsible to request, receive, prepare and organize all SMS garments and duplicate requests for line edits, and styling; including live knowledge of status and pass off to cross department teams. Ensure all trims (including buttons, hardware, labels) accounted for all garment submits. Attend and contribute to Design and Production Meetings, Design Ops, Production and Development Fittings Cross functional communication with Merchandising during development for pre and post market needs including accurate system update responsibilities including style, sku, descriptions, costing for all key calendar milestones. Contributes to cross category and cross department reporting – including sample trackers, fit lists, ETA boards, and flow charts Cross functional partnership with Logistics to finalize HTS codes and finished goods' receivings. Partner with team to request and follow up on all garment requests to include all yarn delivery, trim details, quantity, and color name information. Manage & maintain Production RLM functions–Production Manager, Style Manager Supports team to implement and analyze data to streamline manufacturing and internal workflow. Create, Issue, and Maintain RLM Production POs and communicate to factory --- size breaks, warehouse allocations, overages/shortages, delivery date, MCC description, and care label details. Create & Maintain & Issue BOMs Support negotiating and finalize all production FG cost with factories and in system; including maintaining offline costing documents. Responsible to coordinate, manage, and maintain comprehensive knowledge for all finished goods skus to achieve all business and production deliverables, including maintaining system delivery dates. Support to coordinate and follow up all Bulk Garment Testing Reports & Compliance Testing Issue & approve all branding labels, care labels, UPC codes. Issue Seasonal Projections with guidance Enforce, Issue, and Manage yarn quality standards and technical workmanship standards when applicable from development through production. Process and manage all invoices. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor's Degree is related field At least 2+ years of experience in fully fashioned sweater knits required Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and generic photo editing software with drawing tools Experience working in modular end-to-end business solutions software: ie Blue Cherry, RLM, GCS, Apparel Magic, File Maker Exceptionally organized with strong memory and information retention skills Able to manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high standards Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Positive, adaptable, and resilient in high-pressure situations Collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships across diverse groups Strategic and analytical thinker with proven ability to identify solutions to complex challenges Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; comfortable working with numerical data We are an Equal Opportunity Employer M/D/F/V In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000 per year, which represents a rate commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
