Overview
Sr. Technical Project Manager - Compliance / Risk and Audit Apps at GEICO. The role focuses on managing complex programs across multiple departments and teams to support Compliance, Risk, and Audit applications within the Finance Technologies (Planning & Controls) team. Responsibilities
Partner with the project sponsor, delivery team, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions on time and within budget. Create, maintain, and actively manage a detailed project schedule, change control process, and documentation. Collaborate with the Senior Director to address dependencies, negotiate and estimate delivery dates for milestones, and ensure timely project delivery. Identify and raise project risks, presenting detailed and implementable solutions or alternatives. Understand cross-system impacts of requirements and design choices. Report progress and key metrics; propose ideas to improve product or project delivery. Apply operational/LEAN principles to streamline processes and increase efficiency. Coordinate activities across multiple systems, departments, and teams; engage in cross-functional software lifecycle collaboration. Leverage knowledge of Risk/Compliance and Audit functions to support implementations (e.g., Legal Rule Repository, Regulatory Change Management, Model Risk Management, GRC). Utilize experience with ERPs (e.g., PeopleSoft; Oracle EBS; Oracle Cloud; Hyperion; Workday; SAP) to enhance or build GEICO Finance applications. Collaborate with product managers, vendors, customers, and other engineering teams to solve problems; participate in vendor tool selection processes. Qualifications
Very strong program/project management skills with experience coordinating multi-team projects at scale. Deep Finance and Risk domain expertise; ability to partner with Finance/Risk leadership. Strong understanding of Risk, Compliance, and Audit reporting philosophies and cross-finance practices. Detail-oriented, deadline-driven with strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to document findings, proposals, issues, and status clearly. Experience communicating with business leaders across Technology and Finance. Experience implementing Risk, Compliance, or Audit applications preferred. Effective leadership, influence without direct management authority, and conflict management skills. Ability to work independently and in a team; capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Awareness of ADO is preferable; Lean principles are a plus. Experience
12+ years managing large-scale Finance or Risk Systems projects. PMP or Scrum certification. Excellent understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies. 10+ years with ERP solutions (e.g., PeopleSoft; Oracle EBS; Oracle Cloud; Hyperion; Workday; SAP). 10+ years in Product/Project Management or equivalent. Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent experience. Salary
Base pay range: $130,000.00/yr - $260,000.00/yr The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Final offer factors include role scope, experience, location, and market considerations. Notes
