Director, Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Miami, FL We are hiring for the Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) role within Subway. The Director HRBP is responsible for overseeing HR management and operations within an assigned function or region, ensuring alignment with organizational and global policies and procedures. The role may manage a team of HR professionals and/or administrators and acts as a consultant, advisor, and subject matter expert to HQ HR and management on HR-related issues. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives. Anticipate future HR needs and address them to support growth and success.
Financial Acumen:
Manage the HR budget and interpret financial data to optimize HR investments.
Business Relationships:
Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization and collaborate with senior leadership to drive HR initiatives.
HR Expertise:
Ensure compliance with employment laws, oversee talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and related HR activities.
Goal Orientation:
Set measurable goals for the HR function within designated regions/business units and track progress toward objectives.
The role aligns business objectives with employees and management across designated regions/countries and works with HQ HR and the Franchise World Headquarters of the organization. It involves delivering integrated HR solutions, fostering a positive employee experience, and supporting organizational objectives. What you will do:
Lead timely HR initiatives and collaborate with functional/ regional managers, HQ HR, and HR COE to ensure professional HR operations across regions.
Implement HQ HR programs across HR functions; recommend local policies and procedures aligned with local standards and company policies.
Analyze trends and metrics to plan, implement, and evaluate HR policies, programs, benefits, and development.
Oversee talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and employee relations.
Develop and lead engagement initiatives to improve retention, culture, and employee experience; collaborate with leaders to create an energizing environment.
Manage recruitment processes from sourcing to onboarding; coordinate interviews and offers with HQ and regional management; track position status; support onboarding and offboarding.
Oversee talent management, workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and related HR activities.
Resolve complex employee relations issues; ensure regulatory compliance and support management with coaching and education.
Provide training as required and support diversity, inclusion, benefits, and related goals.
Qualifications (examples):
Bachelors degree in Business, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, General Studies or related field; Masters in HR Management or MBA preferred.
8+ years of progressive HR experience in a multinational environment with knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, compensation, organizational design, performance management, and labor law of the region.
3–5 years of supervisory experience preferred. Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills; proven ability to drive business results.
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills; able to communicate at all levels. Proficiency with HRIS systems (Ceridian) and MS Office.
Fluency in English required; Spanish preferred. Ability and willingness to travel within the region and the U.S. (10%–25%).
