Role Overview WeVote has an open volunteering position for an Art Director to help strengthen American Democracy. You are an early‑career professional (2–4 years) who can turn nonpartisan messages into compelling, on‑brand campaigns across digital ad formats and video. This position is for 2+ hours per week. What You’ll Do Concept and develop creative platforms and campaigns for nonpartisan voter education and GOTV across social, display, short‑form video, and email Partner with other Ads team volunteers to produce ads, storyboards, and key visuals that are clear, accessible, and on‑brand Translate briefs into multiple creative variations for A/B testing; rapidly iterate based on performance insights and stakeholder feedback Art‑direct production of static, motion, and lightweight video assets; ensure files meet platform specs for Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and other channels Maintain and evolve WeVote’s brand system, templates, and visual guidelines to ensure consistency across all touchpoints Shepherd assets from concept to delivery, including QA, versioning, and organized file handoff Ensure all creative aligns with nonpartisan 501(c)(3) guidelines and platform policies for political advertising What We’re Looking For 2–4 years of professional experience in art direction/advertising or integrated design with a portfolio of digital and social campaigns Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); working knowledge of Figma Ability to storyboard and craft narratives for short‑form video; basic motion skills (After Effects or equivalent) are a plus Strong understanding of channel specs, accessibility best practices, and preparing production‑ready files Comfort collaborating with other Ad team volunteers; clear communication and feedback skills Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple versions and deadlines 2+ hours per week during core team hours M–F 8 a.m. – 6 p.m You are currently located in the US and can work one or two hours that overlap with US Pacific Time per week How to Apply Submit your resume and include a brief note/cover letter explaining why you are interested in WeVote and helping our mission.
