Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) drives procurement value to support stakeholders and corporate strategy. GSP leads transformation, builds category strategies, and manages BioMarin’s growing third-party spend of $1B+. The role described here supports the organization enterprise-wide and reports to the Global Enterprise Services Sourcing Leader, who is part of the GSP Leadership Team and reports to the VP of Global Sourcing and Procurement. Responsibilities

Shape and execute industry-leading procurement strategies aligned with BioMarin’s strategic priorities. Develop deep relationships with senior stakeholders and establish transparent, competitive supply channels. Deliver category strategies across the Commercial Services portfolio, including but not limited to: Creative Agencies for Branded and Unbranded campaigns Digital Advertising including Omnichannel Marketing Market Research and Data Insights Market Access Patient Support Services Collaborate with BioMarin’s Commercial Organization globally to align on long-range plans, annual imperatives, and strategic objectives. Design and deliver multi-year category roadmaps for Commercial categories, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and risk management. Establish and manage senior-level relationships with critical suppliers, optimizing performance. Lead high-impact, complex negotiations to deliver enterprise-wide value. Define KPI frameworks, monitor performance, and drive accountability for cost, quality, service, innovation, and risk. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, collaborating with Quality, and supporting internal audit efforts as needed. Maintain external awareness of industry trends and innovations, leveraging networks to bring new capabilities to BioMarin. Act as a subject matter expert on evolving procurement practices and standards. Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA or similar qualifications are advantageous. Area of Specialization: Sourcing & Procurement, Commercial Services / Consulting; extensive global pharmaceutical procurement experience preferred. 7+ years of experience in Procurement/Sourcing; demonstrated success in category strategy development and execution in global contexts. Knowledge of procurement tools (sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review, supplier development); experience with Ariba/SAP preferred. Experience managing executive-level supplier relationships with measurable value delivery. Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and influencing skills; ability to work cross-functionally and resolve conflicts. High-pressure, deadline-driven environment capability; strong business mindset and self-starter attitude. Significant experience in matrix/global/regional business environments; strong networking and stakeholder management skills. Financial and legal awareness related to cost benchmarking, audits, and contracting. Travel: Periodic travel to BioMarin sites and supplier locations as required. Workstyle

Salary range: $144,000 to $198,000. BioMarin considers factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location when determining base compensation. The role may be eligible for discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and a benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life insurance).
