Plaintiffs' Personal Injury Attorney: New York

We are working with an established New York mesothelioma, asbestos, and personal injury torts litigation boutique, currently seventeen (17) strong. The firm seeks an experienced (2 + yrs.) Personal Injury Attorney to represent clients who have suffered physical or psychological injuries due to the negligence or wrongdoing of others. This role involves managing cases from intake through settlement or trial, negotiating with insurance companies, and advocating for clients in court. Salary is $145,000 - $160,000 depending upon experience. Information concerning bonuses, health insurance, and other employee benefits are available from the firm. Key Responsibilities: Handle a caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and wrongful death claims. Conduct client intake interviews and evaluate case viability. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement demands. Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel. Represent clients at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings. Prepare cases for trial and serve as lead or co-counsel in litigation. Maintain communication with clients regarding case progress and strategy. Collaborate with medical experts, investigators, and other professionals to build cases.
