The Children's Ministry Director will work in a fast-paced setting, requiring flexibility in an ever-evolving daily environment. The person in this role must be punctual, maintain global confidentiality, exhibit a high level of hospitality, exude executive presence, maintain high standards of professionalism, and possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
OVERVIEW
The Children's Ministry Director at Impact Church leads discipleship opportunities for young people from birth through 5th grade. The Children's Ministry Director knows, understands, plans, and executes on the tenet that NxT-G is a key leg on Impact's. The responsibilities of this role center on encouraging the care of and Christian growth for infants, toddlers, preschool children, and elementary-aged students. This part-time position is expected to be crucial to the development, stability, and maintenance of NxT-G as it pertains to ages 0-12 and the overall church.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Children's Ministry Director is a strategic, innovative/creative, and empowering team leader who engages and equips teams of volunteers in the work of reaching and discipling children and their families. Specific areas of oversight and coordination include, but are not limited to:
LEADERSHIP AND SHEPHERDING
Recruiting, training, and scheduling staff and volunteers effectively, adhering to safe sanctuary guidelines as they pertain to appropriate ratios and experiences working with children.
Communicating effectively with ministry staff and volunteers, ensuring they are equipped, prepared, trained, cared for, and set up for success to complete their assigned tasks.
Interfacing with team leaders, other support staff, and some vendors.
Willing to hold the role of mandated reporter, reporting any signs of abuse or neglect when suspected or seen in regard to a minor in care of or in relationship with Impact Church, as outlined in the NxT-G safety policies.
CREATIVE PROGRAMMING AND TEACHING
Investing in the Christian spiritual development of children from birth through 5th grade by inviting their participation and engaging their involvement.
Planning and delivering age/grade/ability appropriate activities for children that promote community through fellowship, fun, and faith development.
Ensuring materials of all kinds are culturally relevant and align with Impact's intentionality when it comes to diversity and inclusion.
Developing and building remarkable moments for children in their worship experiences, as well as other faith-strengthening opportunities.
Teaching and incorporating the principles of Holistic Salvation throughout times of worship and discipleship.
Implementing curriculum for children's experiences and Grow Groups.
Creating weekly content in the following formats: on-demand, virtual, and in-person.
BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS AND BRIDGES
Developing positive relationships with children and parents.
Utilizing digital communication (emails, texts, website) and social media platforms to connect and build relationships with parents.
Participating with children in events outside of the church ( examples: school visits, sporting events, music and arts performances, and other extracurricular activities ).
Connecting with community ministry networks and affiliated children's children-focused organizations.
Promoting Christian service in conjunction with the Impact Gives Back team through age-appropriate service-learning projects.
NxT-G TEAM: COLLABORATION, ADMINISTRATION, AND ORGANIZATION
Providing bi-weekly updates to designated supervisor..
Meeting regularly with NxT-G Youth Pastor
Collaborating regularly with other NxT-Gleads and volunteers
Maintaining church records as assigned for NxT-G children
Assisting with and maintaining the NxT-G budget
Arriving prepared for all scheduled meetings and discussions
Completing all tasks promptly and accurately, ensuring deadlines are met
Adhering to all Impact Church Staff policies and procedures

Committing to pray regularly for the children and families of NxT-G

QUALIFICATIONS
The Children's Ministry Director is hoped to be an engaging leader with integrity who willingly goes the extra mile. A disciple of Jesus whose life exhibits the fruit of the Spirit, this individual is focused and collaborative, helping drive NxT-G forward. The following list of traits, assets, skills, and experiences are understood to align with the abilities necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the Children's Ministry Director with Impact Church:
Has attained post-high school education and/or experience serving with children and teams, specifically in ministry or a related field of study.
Proficient understanding and grounding in early childhood and pre-adolescent stages of life (from birth through 12 years of age)
Resourceful, readily demonstrating expertise in a variety of children's ministry concepts, practices, procedures, styles, and approaches.
Must be dependable, hospitable, and add to the positive culture at Impact.
Must be flexible, ready to adapt to the ever-changing daily workflow and schedule shifts.
Capable of establishing and accomplishing goals through strategic planning
Detail-oriented with an ability to develop and execute multi-step endeavors.
Adept at research, interpersonal / customer service, multi-tasking, and project management
Receptive to instruction
Self-motivated and able to work independently without supervision to produce results
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to interact with children of all ages and families from various ethnic, economic, and social backgrounds.
Must be able to communicate with individuals exhibiting all types of personalities and demeanors, whether a part of Impact Church or not
Comfortable utilizing technology, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive Applications, and social media platforms.

Pay: $27, $30,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
