About the Role The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem solver who will take ownership of accounting tasks assigned. Desire and willingness to learn and grow are key to the success of the Staff Accountant. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities Perform day to day accounting duties in full cycle accounting: AP, AR, general ledger entries, reconciliations and other duties as assigned Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable processes by ensuring timely vendor payments and customer invoicing issue resolution Assist in maintaining supporting documentation for accounting transactions Provide audit support by gathering requested documentation and preparing basic audit schedules Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures Assist with ad hoc projects from financial analysis to helping with system implementation Perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance & Accounting Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1+ years of accounting experience preferably with exposure to full cycle accounting operation duties such as AR, AP and cash reconciliations Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high degree of curiosity and desire to learn Experience with ERP accounting software (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle etc.) Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization Ability to multitask, highly detailed oriented and organized Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
