Pharmacist

Duties Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate medication therapy and health outcomes. Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient education. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of medications and supplies. Perform compounding of medications as necessary, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Administer immunizations and provide guidance on medication administration techniques. Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Participate in acute care settings, providing critical care support and pain management strategies. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology. Experience in LTC pharmacy, pediatrics, or hospital settings is preferred. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems for efficient medication management. Ability to perform IV insertion and IV infusion procedures safely. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education. Critical thinking skills for assessing complex medical situations and making informed decisions. Proficient in inventory management practices to ensure optimal stock levels. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous but not mandatory.
