Overview

The Business Analyst provides the Research Compliance Department with systems maintenance, troubleshooting, work-arounds, and staff support. The department uses systems such as Huron, SciSure, FIDDLE, Kuali and SharePoint. The Business Analyst supports these systems, acts as a liaison between the Research Compliance Department, other BU organizational units (including IS&T and EHS) and system vendors, and may create and/or test scripts for new versions/updates/upgrades. This position also provides training and support for Research Compliance staff and system users (e.g., research staff, Committee members). Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot Research Compliance systems (Huron, SciSure, FIDDLE, Kuali, SharePoint) and assist with system transitions. Serve as liaison between the Research Compliance Department and BU organizational units and system vendors. Support system updates by testing scripts provided by vendors for new versions/updates/upgrades. Provide training and ongoing support for Research Compliance staff and system users. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent experience considered in lieu of education. Experience with Research Administration and/or Research Compliance preferred. At least 5 years of experience. Excellent organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively, independently and in a team, to meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy in producing high-quality work. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, project management/collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheets, Slack, Trello), G-Suite, cloud storage (Dropbox, OneDrive), WordPress, and LMS content creation tools. Demonstrates stakeholder empathy, creative thinking, and experience in process improvement; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
