BUSINESS ANALYST, Research Informatics

Overview The Business Analyst provides the Research Compliance Department with systems maintenance, troubleshooting, work-arounds, and staff support. The department uses multiple systems (some shared with other units and some exclusive to Research Compliance) including Huron, SciSure, FIDDLE, Kuali, and SharePoint. The Analyst will support these systems, liaise between the Research Compliance Department, BU organizational units (including IS&T, EHS), and system vendors, and assist with vendor-provided scripts for updates/upgrades. Training and user support for Research Compliance staff and system users (e.g., research staff, Committee members) are included.
Responsibilities
Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, work-arounds, and staff support for Research Compliance systems (Huron, SciSure, FIDDLE, Kuali, SharePoint) and other BU systems.
Act as a liaison between the Research Compliance Department, BU organizational units, and system vendors.
Assist with testing and implementation of vendor-provided scripts for new versions/upgrades.
Provide training and ongoing support for Research Compliance staff and system users.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Experience with Research Administration and/or Research Compliance preferred.
At least 5 years of experience.
Excellent organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively, both independently and as part of a team, to meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in high-quality work.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management/collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheets, Slack, Trello), G-Suite, cloud storage (Dropbox, OneDrive), WordPress, and LMS authoring tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with stakeholder empathy and experience in planning process improvements.
