Palm Beach State College Founded in 1933 as Florida’s first public junior college, Palm Beach State College (PBSC) is a comprehensive, regionally accredited institution. The College operates six locations throughout Palm Beach County with courses offered in person, fully online, and a hybrid combination of both. PBSC offers educational opportunities and affordable tuition in over 130 programs of study and serves over 35,000 students annually, awarding bachelor’s and associate in arts degrees that transfer to universities; associate in science, workforce training, and certificates that lead directly to job placement; and continuing education to build the skills of the community. Palm Beach State College seeks a highly collaborative, dynamic, and unifying leader for the Vice President of Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer (VPAA). Reporting to the President, the VPAA articulates the academic vision for the College, providing direction for academic programs, policies, strategies, and initiatives. The VPAA is an advocate who promotes collegial engagement and fosters excellence in teaching and learning. The VPAA preserves the quality and viability of the College\'s curriculum, ensuring its relevance and alignment with the mission and vision of the College, assuring the continuous adherence to standards governing its accreditation. The VPAA oversees academic matters including academic planning & assessment, program review and development, evaluations, re-alignment and accountability for the operations, direction and supervision of academic areas, programs, and activities. As a member of the President’s Cabinet, the VPAA consults and works in collaboration with the various areas to bring about a cohesive academic environment and student-centered culture. Required Qualifications: Twelve years of increasingly responsible related experience, to include experience in higher education academic administration, supervision of academic programs, and teaching experience in higher education. Regional and programmatic accreditation and ensuring institutional compliance. Leading change and assessment of academic programs.
