Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Licensed Plumbers to join our Union. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plumbing, including both residential and commercial projects. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. As a Licensed Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems while ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures. Perform pipe threading, welding, and soldering tasks as needed for various plumbing projects. Conduct remodeling work that includes the installation of fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete plumbing tasks safely and efficiently. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on each job. Qualifications Proven experience as a Licensed Plumber with a valid plumbing license. Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety practices. Proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints related to plumbing systems. Familiarity with pipe threading techniques and welding processes is preferred. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimates. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members. A valid driver's license. Experience in maintenance person services or construction site work is advantageous.
