A critical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills that will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess and ensure Vocational Rehabilitation contractor compliance. You are a self-starting, curious, and motivated problem solver with excellent auditing skills. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Auditor III performs highly complex (senior-level) auditing work. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO: Review monitoring plan and actively engages in planning and participating in assigned monitoring reviews. Examine records to identify compliance issues. Timely prepares reports containing findings and recommendations. Research applicable program standards, contract terms and conditions, rules and regulations to support monitoring review findings and decisions. Prepare working papers to document the results of the work performed, including interviews, data analysis, and other documentation. Assist and supports other auditors with their assigned audits. Perform other duties as assigned. YOU QUALIFY WITH: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, finance, economics or a related field; plus three years of full-time experience in: Accounting, program financial performance, or IT auditing or, Management information systems analysis, business process analysis, contract monitoring, or Positions which provided extensive knowledge of agency budgetary controls, or Administrative procedures and related state and federal regulatory laws. Education and experience may substitute for one another. A license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas, a certificate to practice as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will satisfy the educational requirement and two years of the required experience. Competitive starting salary: $5, $5,250.00/month
