Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint to various industrial components and structures. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of painting techniques, and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The Industrial Painter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all painted surfaces meet quality standards and specifications. Other labor duties related to shop operations may be assigned when needed. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by wiping/ cleaning and applying primers as needed. Utilize airless paint spraying techniques to apply coatings evenly and efficiently. Operate power tools and hand tools for fabrication and assembly tasks related to painting projects. Handle materials safely, ensuring proper storage and disposal of hazardous substances. Assist in machining components as required for specific projects. Use cranes or other lifting equipment to move large items into position for painting. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Experience Proven experience as an industrial painter or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory. Experience in materials handling, including the safe use of cranes and other lifting devices. Strong ability to operate various power tools and hand tools effectively. A commitment to safety practices in an industrial environment is required.
