Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial and construction painting, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques and materials. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint using different methods, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of products. The Industrial Painter will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with other team members to meet production goals. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sand blasting, and applying primers as necessary. Operate air over/airless paint spraying equipment and other tools to apply paint evenly and efficiently. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate application of coatings. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Handle materials safely and efficiently, including the use of forklifts and cranes when necessary. Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet project deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. Apply basic math skills for mixing paint ratios and calculating coverage areas. Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve processes and reduce waste. Experience Previous experience in psx 700 and 68hs paint or similar industrial paint is required. Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and assembly processes is preferred. Knowledge of variety of industrial paints is required. Experience using various power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments is essential. Warehouse experience with materials handling is beneficial. Understanding of auto body repair or auto painting techniques is an advantage. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is desirable.
