Welder/Fabricator

Position Summary: AMC MSM is seeking a skilled and reliable TIG and MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. This role specializes in aluminum TIG welding and MIG welding on both steel and aluminum to manufacture components such as gas cap covers, wheel wells, transition ramps, and bulkheads. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong attention to detail, physical endurance, and a solid understanding of technical blueprints. Key Responsibilities: Perform TIG welding on aluminum and MIG welding on both aluminum and steel materials with precision and efficiency Read and interpret technical blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accuracy of welds Use a tape measure and fabrication tools to verify dimensions and tolerances Maintain high-quality welds while working within tight tolerances Manually lift and maneuver materials weighing between 50 lbs to 75 lbs on a regular basis Build custom skids and prepare finished welded products for shipment or further processing Assist in other departments as needed, including operating or supporting shear and press machines during downtime Adhere to safety policies, including proper use of PPE and handling of hot materials Operate hand and power tools efficiently and safely Maintain a clean and organized work area Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for8–10 hours per shift Frequent bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching Comfortable working in hot manufacturing environments Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required Qualifications: Minimum 1–3 years of TIG and MIG welding experience required Experience welding aluminum and steel in a manufacturing or industrial setting Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints and measurements Basic understanding of material types and welding properties Forklift certification is a plus Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to assist in multiple areas as needed AMC MSM offers a team-oriented work environment focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
