Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing and Bookkeeping assistant to join our team of mental healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be aiding in the management of billing processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a basic understanding of the insurance industry or a very strong interest in learning. Duties Prepare and process invoices accurately and timely. Conduct account projects such as reconciliations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, to maintain accurate financial records. Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks. Analyze financial data and prepare reports that summarize billing activities and account statuses. Contact and maintain continuous monitoring of accounts receivable from insurance company reimbursements. Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and improve overall billing efficiency. Support payroll processing as required by the organization. Experience Proven experience in accounting, billing, or financial management in a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong understanding of financial concepts, including bookkeeping and account analysis. Familiarity with QuickBooks practices is essential. Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and trends in financial data.
