Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dispatch Manager to oversee our logistics and service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, ensuring efficient dispatching and delivery of freight AND team members. This role requires excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, as well as proficiency in various transportation management systems. Duties Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services. Utilize GIS and GPS technologies to optimize routing and fleet management. Coordinate with transportation planning teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives. Analyze data related to shipping, receiving, and asset movement to identify areas for improvement. Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including data entry into Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine systems. Supervise a team of dispatchers, providing training and support as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding transportation management. Handle multi-line phone systems effectively, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when communicating with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Collaborate with third-party supply providers to enhance service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management within a transportation and service environment. Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and transportation management systems. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for decision-making purposes. Proficient in typing and data entry tasks with attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interaction across various departments. Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in service dispatch operations is advantageous.
