Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Counter Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing sales transactions and assisting customers with their inquiries. Your expertise in logistics and transportation management will be essential in ensuring efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their product inquiries and sales needs. Process sales transactions accurately using multi-line phone systems and data entry skills. Utilize GIS, GPS, and transportation management systems to provide customers with relevant information. Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatching of freight. Coordinate with logistics teams to facilitate transportation planning and fleet management. Maintain organized records of sales transactions and customer interactions in SyteLine or AS400 systems. Analyze customer needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance their experience. Collaborate with 3PL providers to optimize supply chain operations. Skills Proficient in GIS, GPS, Oracle Transportation Management, and transportation management systems. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to logistics and supply chain processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette. Ability to type efficiently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with dispatching practices and freight handling procedures. Experience in shipping & receiving operations is preferred but not mandatory.
