We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team in a fast-paced smoke shop store environment. This role involves providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining product displays. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members. to qualify you must have past experience in either a vape shop or as a cashier. Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection. Handle cash transactions and ensure accurate cash handling practices. Stock shelves and ensure products are well-merchandised for optimal visibility and accessibility. Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer experience. Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom. Qualifications Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management. Experience with merchandising techniques to enhance product displays effectively. Bilingual abilities are a plus, facilitating better communication with diverse customers. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating leadership capabilities when supervising others. A passion for customer service with a proactive approach to resolving issues that may arise during transactions or stocking duties.
