Welder

Essential Functions: Proficient in assigned welding techniques. Must pass internal weld certification test per AWS D1.1 Proficient in metal fabrication. Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld symbols. Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys and aluminum. Working knowledge of the use of fixtures and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.) Working knowledge of conventional and precision measuring instruments. Perform per the weld books established and present in each work cell. Process inspection, certification and documentation. Welding equipment maintenance. Finishing grinding applications using manual and power tools. Safety and housekeeping. Other duties as assigned by the area lead. Requirements: High School diploma or GED Minimum 5 years related experience Good basic math skills. Ability to read blueprints. Successful completion of an internal welding test in the horizontal position. Welding Responsibilities: Ensure that part are identified and do not get mixed Complete required quality checks If a checked part is bad, notify the supervisor If the part needs to be re-setup, another buy-off is required.
