We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service, along with the ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently. This role involves working directly with customers, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing. Maintain knowledge of products and services to effectively upsell and provide product demonstrations when necessary. Supervise junior staff members, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing product displays and stocking shelves as needed. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment. Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate cash handling and register balancing. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective customer interactions. Basic math skills for cash handling and register operations are required. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is advantageous.
