Sales Account Executive - Biotech
My client is an ambitious DNA sequencing biotech, looking for someone with 5+ years of relevant sequencing sales experience who has a proven track record of success in account management, exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
You should be comfortable selling to Academic, Biotech, Pharma, and Government accounts and have a demonstrated history of devising and implementing successful strategies utilizing a consultative approach in customer interactions, resulting in measurable and impactful outcomes.
Nice to have - experience selling sequencing as a service or capital equipment related to sequencing.
What you'll do:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into successful sales through a consultative approach.
Take ownership of maintaining and organizing opportunity pipelines, tasks, and events using CRM tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce or similar platforms.
Work closely with key stakeholders across internal and external organizations to ensure seamless collaboration.
Lead strategic account planning and strategizing to decide who to pursue in your territory.
Develop and expand market penetration, especially in the pharma industry, by building new relationships and partnerships.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a top performing Account Executive in biotech (must be sequencing focused)
Experience selling sequencing services or related products
Experience building relationships with research scientists and a variety of other stakeholders in academic,
biotech, pharma
, and government accounts.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and revenue growth.
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences or a relevant field
Deep
sequencing knowledge
(NGS, synthetic biology, Nanopore sequencing, molecular biology lab techniques)
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Hubspot, Salesforce, or similar).
