Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced IP attorney to join our legal team in a hybrid role supporting both intellectual property strategy and business development/licensing efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of legal, scientific, and commercial functions - who can both protect innovation and enable strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent law, preferably within the biotech or life sciences sector, and experience with antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) or a closely related therapeutic area. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a lean, collaborative environment and is eager to have a broad, cross-functional impact across R&D, Legal, and BD. Responsibilities

Manage and develop the company’s global IP portfolio in collaboration with outside counsel and internal stakeholders Conduct IP landscape analyses and freedom-to-operate assessments to inform research and development strategy Support invention harvesting, patentability analysis, and coordination of internal IP review processes Serve as a liaison between R&D teams, internal counsel, and external patent counsel Monitor competitive IP filings and advise on patent strategy accordingly Licensing & Business Development

Support licensing activities, including due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and contract drafting/review Collaborate with Business Development on licensing strategy, deal structuring, and integration of IP considerations into business negotiations Assist with evaluating third-party IP rights, collaborations, and strategic partnerships Work cross-functionally with legal, scientific, and commercial teams to align deal strategy with scientific and business objectives Education & Experience

J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction Registered to practice before the USPTO Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in biotech or pharma intellectual property, including patent prosecution, portfolio management, and IP strategy—preferably with exposure to antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) or a closely related therapeutic area Strong understanding of patent law, including U.S. and international prosecution, FTO analysis, and competitive landscape review Exposure to licensing activities and a desire to contribute to business development and partnership activities Excellent judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and operate effectively across teams and functions What We Offer
