Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:
Lead mechanical engineering efforts for new product introductions (NPI) and sustaining products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, process, test, and reliability engineering.
Ensure mechanical design meets performance, cost, and quality targets.
Drive design improvements for manufacturability, yield, and cost reduction.
Manage mechanical content for product builds and validation.
Support failure analysis and root cause investigations.
Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve issues and optimize production.
Experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably in networking or electronics hardware.
Knowledge of materials, thermal management, and structural analysis.
Experience with DFM, DFA, and reliability testing.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Collaborate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and suppliers to resolve mechanical issues during production.
Review and approve mechanical tooling, fixtures, and process changes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
CAD software: Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD
PLM systems: Agile, Windchill
Materials knowledge: Plastics, metals, composites
Manufacturing processes: Injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, CNC machining
Standards: IPC, ISO, UL, CE, RoHS
