Maintenance Technician

Quarterly attendance bonuses, because we are thankful for your commitment Referral bonus Responsibilities: Maintenance Technician Ensure that the facility and its equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience. Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures. Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, masonry, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, janitorial, painting etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures. Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary. Performs repairs on the property, including painting, carpentry or wall repair, plumbing and electrical, air conditioning, heating, etc. as required. General bathroom maintenance, replacing fixtures, toilet seats, handrails etc. Change out kitchen appliances, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers etc. as required for four neighborhood kitchens. Responds to emergency situations for evening and weekend call-backs.

The Maintenance Technician operates a van or bus to pick up, transport and return Residents to and from various locations. Includes assisting with the moving of residents, ability to operate a wheelchair lift.

Keeps CDL current, abides by all traffic regulations, and reports any violations as soon as possible to supervisor. Must be able to meet the physical demands as outlined in the Physical Demands Analysis (lifting, carrying, push/pull stepping and climbing requirements) The Maintenance Technician will have on call weekend rotation with department. Education & Experience: Maintenance Technician The Maintenance Technician must possess, as a minimum, a high school or tech school education. The Maintenance Technician is preferred to have two (2) years related building maintenance experience, but not required. The Maintenance Technician must possess a driver's license, and the ability to obtain a CDL (CDL is required within the first 60 days of employment).
