Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled , detail-oriented Facilities Engineer 1 to join our team. The Facilities Engineer 1 is responsible for helping to maintain the structural, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and physical security systems of the datacenter. This person help manage all 3rd Party facility vendors in accordance with company policy and procedures. The position helps to ensure the correct operation of the facility and its critical equipment and maintain our expected 99.9% uptime. You will also work closely with the Chief Engineer and clients to maintain Service Level Agreements. Responsibilities Building maintenance and repair of the interior facility including, plumbing, electrical, Painting, Drywall, light bulb replacement and filter changing. Maintenance and upkeep of the building exterior including repairs and upkeep of the external equipment as well as Lawn work and snow removal. Assist with 3rd party facility vendors, including supervising vendor access into the facility. Preventative maintenance and upkeep on all facility related systems, including daily inspections, HVAC inspection and cleanings, general housekeeping and repair and ensure proper documentation. Assist with the daily operations of general building maintenance including cooling and critical systems. Installation, repair and troubleshooting of communications wiring and fiberoptics. Act as first responder in the event of systems emergencies and failures. Participate in on-call response to support our 24/7/365 operation. Requirements General Building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, Painting and general housekeeping. Additional basic understanding of HVAC and some Electrical knowledge and the willingness to advance and learn in these areas. Proficient in Microsoft products such as Office, Outlook, Excel, etc. Understanding of Critical facilities and building systems (mechanical and electrical) An understanding of basic technical aspects of (HVAC, Closed loop Chiller system, Fire protection, UPS and Generators and Power distribution systems) Good Problem-solving skill set.
