Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician Location: 1413 E Interstate 30, Suite #6, Garland, Texas, 75043 Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Reports to: Pharmacist-in-Charge Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM, No Weekends About Us Medstork Rx is an independent mail-order pharmacy specializing in providing care to patients who have been injured in workers' compensation and personal injury cases. We are dedicated to patient safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service while ensuring adherence to Texas pharmacy laws and best practices for timely and efficient delivery of necessary medications. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and driven Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our pharmacists in processing prescriptions, coordinating delivery with patients and delivery couriers, liaising between medical clinics and law firms, and ensuring accurate and timely medication delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of workers' compensation and personal injury cases, and a commitment to regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Process and fill prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Verify patient and prescription information to ensure accuracy and compliance. Communicate with prescribers' offices to obtain clarifications, patient information, and resolve prescription issues. Assist in managing inventory, including controlled substances, in accordance with state and federal regulations. Coordinate medication shipments and ensure timely delivery to injured patients. Communicate with dedicated courier teams to resolve shipment issues. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries regarding prescriptions, medication refills, and order status. Maintain accurate documentation of prescription records, billing, and claim submissions. Comply with all Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations and other applicable laws. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and patient care. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license in Texas. Strong knowledge of medication names, dosages, and drug classifications. Familiarity with insurance billing, workers' compensation claims, and prior authorization processes. Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems and software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities Preferred Qualifications Experience with controlled substances management and compliance. Prior experience in a mail-order or long-term care pharmacy setting.
