The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can assess business needs, build strong relationships across the organization, and independently define a roadmap for delivering high-value insights Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, GIS, Finance, Mathematics, or a related technical field is required Master's degree or higher strongly preferred 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or geospatial intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Proven success delivering enterprise-scale analytics and financial modeling solutions in complex, multi-functional environments Experience working directly with executive leadership and influencing business strategy through data insights Expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and geospatial tools for data manipulation and modeling Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platforms Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario planning and ROI analysis Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences including senior executives Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Proven problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop or kneel; talk and hear. The Senior Director, Data Science will lead a high-impact team responsible for delivering advanced analytics, financial modeling, and geospatial intelligence to support Vantage's most critical business decisions. This role will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to shape data-driven strategies that drive growth, operational efficiency, and long-term planning The Director will be responsible for building scalable analytics capabilities, mentoring talent, and embedding a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization Lead the development of advanced analytics solutions including predictive models, financial forecasts and scenario analyses that directly inform enterprise decision-making Translate complex data into actionable insights that support strategic planning, capital allocation, and operational execution Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities for data science to drive value Enhance financial modeling efforts by integrating predictive analytics techniques that improve forecasting accuracy, scenario planning, and risk assessment Collaborate with Finance and Strategy, and other business units to develop scalable, data-driven tools that support capital planning and long-range decision-making Introduce innovative approaches that modernize financial insight generation and align with enterprise planning needs Integrate geospatial data and tools into analytics workflows to support infrastructure planning, market analysis, and risk assessment Guide the development of GIS-enabled dashboards and decision-support tools Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure analytics solutions are aligned with enterprise technology platforms and digital workflows Support the integration of data science capabilities into business systems and tools that enable automation, service delivery, and customer engagement Contribute to the design and deployment of scalable analytics features within broader technology transformation initiatives Work in close partnership with the VP, Enterprise Excellence to ensure analytics solutions are grounded in operational realties and aligned with enterprise improvement initiatives Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing analytics team with diverse skill sets Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and analytical excellence Define team priorities, performance metrics, and development plans Demonstrate strong business acumen and executive presence by independently identifying opportunities, shaping the team's direction, and aligning efforts with enterprise priorities Stay current on emerging trends in data science, AI/ML, and geospatial analytics Promote the adoption of modern tools, methodologies, and ethical data practices Handle additional duties as assigned by Management The application process
