Production Planner
Location: Fresno, CA Company: Hire Up Staffing (On behalf of a manufacturing client) Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Pay Range: $27.00 $32.50 DOE Hire Up Staffing is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join the team at a well-established manufacturing company located in Fresno, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a reputable company known for its innovation and long-standing industry presence. Position Summary
The Production Planner will support manufacturing operations by transforming engineering designs into efficient production schedules. This individual will play a vital role in coordinating materials, ensuring timely work order completion, and supporting overall production flow. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers from engineering drawings Update the master production schedule with new work orders in the ERP system Coordinate planning for make/purchase components with the purchasing team Release and manage shop work orders; oversee material flow and usage Perform material transactions and ensure proper work order closures Analyze job costs and material variances; prepare summary reports Maintain BOM accuracy and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) Collaborate with engineering and sales teams on new product development Coordinate outsourcing when necessary due to production constraints Monitor inventory levels, cycle counts, and planned orders for optimal stock turns Supporting Duties
Assemble job packets and assign production priorities Provide assistance in shipping, receiving, and parts sales as needed Support physical inventories and cycle counting processes Serve as a backup for receiving and parts sales functions Participate in the implementation of new manufacturing systems Attend and contribute to safety and production meetings Qualifications
High school diploma and at least 6 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in a similar role ERP/manufacturing software experience strongly preferred Ability to interpret engineering drawings and create BOM structures Knowledge of production scheduling, material transactions, and job costing Familiarity with general manufacturing processes and inventory control Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills APICS certification is a plus Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay:
$27.00 $32.50, depending on experience Overtime Pay:
