Low Voltage Technician
Location: Milwaukee, WI Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $21.00 - $35.00/hr Schedule: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM Position Summary
Join a growing team specializing in the installation and support of low voltage systems for commercial clients. This hands-on role involves working with CCTV, access control, structured cabling, and other security and communication systems in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain low voltage systems: structured cabling, fiber optics, security systems, and A/V systems Pull, terminate, and test low voltage cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, coax, fiber) Mount and configure security devices such as cameras and access control panels Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams Troubleshoot and repair system issues Operate lifts and heavy equipment safely (lift certification required or obtainable) Ensure compliance with NEC, BICSI, and OSHA safety standards Maintain accurate documentation of installations and repairs Qualifications
13 years of experience in low voltage or security system installation Proficient with hand tools and cable pulling techniques Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces Strong problem-solving and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation BICSI Installer I or II certification preferred Lift certification required or willingness to obtain Pay and Benefits
