We are currently hiring experienced Low Voltage Technicians to join our growing team in Louisville, KY.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to install, test, and service low voltage systems on active construction projects. You'll work hands-on with structured cabling, security systems, AV, and access control — ensuring clean installs, code compliance, and seamless integration with the project's electrical and IT framework.
Key Responsibilities
Install and terminate structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber)
Install and configure devices such as cameras, access control panels, AV equipment, and card readers
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specs
Perform testing, labeling, documentation, and troubleshooting of installed systems
Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and general contractors on site
Follow all safety standards and ensure compliance with NEC and local codes
Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure proper tool handling
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in low voltage system installation (commercial preferred)
Proficient with cabling, terminations, and system integration
Experience with one or more systems: CCTV, access control, intercom, or AV
Ability to read construction drawings and low voltage plans
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to work on active construction sites and lift up to 50 lbs
