Talent Acquisition Specialist

Builds the talent pipeline for the company by developing external sources of talent, assessing talent to identify the very best, and partnering with leaders to attract the best talent to Border States. Develops processes, tools and training to support hiring managers in the recruitment, assessment and selection process, partners with managers to create and communicate candidate offers, assists in managing temporary employment providers, administers the relocation process and coordinates appropriate reimbursements. Leads the work to create an outstanding candidate experience from application through offer and assures the proper communication takes place throughout the recruiting process including communication with all applicants. Leads the use of the applicant tracking system from requisition created to candidate hire. Partners with hiring managers to develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract the diverse talent required for Border States' success. Partners with managers to assess and select the best talent for Border States. Develops processes, tools and training to support hiring managers in the recruiting, assessment and selection. Partners with managers to create and communicate candidate offers and assures appropriate internal communications take place regarding new hires. Assures processes fully support Border States' EEO and AAP goals and are compliant with all local, state and federal regulations. Partners with and manages temporary employment providers to deliver required talent for projects or short-term staffing needs. Leads communication, metrics and continuous improvement efforts. Assists managers with the relocation process and coordinates the appropriate reimbursements for approved relocations. Assists with the pre-employment process for Border States which includes entering background checks, scheduling pre-employment testing and follow up with third party vendor for results when needed. Responsible for updating and maintaining job descriptions. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other designate. Minimum of a two-year business or human resources degree preferred or the equivalent in related work experience. Bachelor's degree highly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of proven recruiting experience including sourcing and assessment of candidates is preferred. Preferred candidate will demonstrate creativity in problem solving and developing solutions that win with candidates and hiring managers. Previous experience with training and presenting to small and large groups desired. Prefer strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Internet, email and SAP software. Previous experience with applicant tracking system a plus. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Ability to effectively plan, organize, and deliver consistently. Excellent customer service skills include being competent, accurate, responsive and engaged.
