Shipping & Receiving Clerk with Assembly experience
to join our Logistics team in
Duncan, SC . This position plays a key role in warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, and general material handling. The ideal candidate will also provide hands-on support to the assembly team as needed, helping ensure efficient production and timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities: Accurately receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify materials against packing slips or purchase orders.
Prepare outbound shipments, including packing, labeling, and coordinating with carriers.
Maintain detailed records of shipments and receipts, ensuring data accuracy in ERP systems (preferably Dynamics 365).
Support warehouse operations such as picking, staging, stocking, and physical inventory counts.
Collaborate with the Buyer/Planner and Plant Manager to coordinate logistics and warehouse priorities.
Assist in product assembly, labeling, and packaging during slow periods in shipping activities.
Identify and report damaged or non-conforming materials and follow proper procedures for disposition.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while promoting continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, carrier requirements, and company policies. Qualifications & Requirements:
1+ years of experience
in a shipping/receiving or warehouse clerk role.
Familiarity with
MRP/ERP systems ;
experience with Dynamics 365
is highly preferred.
Ability to operate shipping software and inventory management tools.
Experience with assembly or production support in a warehouse environment is a plus.
Basic computer literacy and effective written/verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Willingness to support cross-functional teams and assembly operations.
Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is a plus. Preferred Attributes:
Hands-on experience in both shipping/receiving and light assembly work.
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
