Overview
Performs basic diagnostic vascular exams including the technologist component of minimally invasive vascular procedures and intra-operative procedures.
Responsibilities
Performs all basic diagnostic vascular exams with the ability to recognize appropriate indications and distinguish between normal and abnormal findings. Performs vascular sonographer duties that meet departmental needs including preparing preliminary exam reports and entering them in the vascular lab database. Clearly communicates critical test results to appropriate providers and interacts with providers to ensure appropriate exams are performed. Performs all vascular exams on-call with no restrictions. Exhibits proficiency with all lab equipment and ensures equipment failures are reported and documented. Participates in Quality Assurance and quality control programs. Participates in teaching programs including observation by students, residents, and fellows as well as presentations in staff meetings. Participates in research projects within the Vascular Surgery Department. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Associates Degree from accredited vascular ultrasound program or any allied health discipline.
Proficient on all equipment in the lab within first three months of employment.
Required Licensure/Certifications - Radiographer NH OR Radiation Therapist NH OR Medical Imaging/Rad Ther - NH - BLS - Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) within 365 days Area of Interest:

$35.60/Hr. - $55.18/Hr. FTE/Hours per pay period:
