Clojure Developer Position
We are seeking a skilled Clojure Developer to join our team for a Point-of-Sale migration project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecting large-scale systems and will be responsible for migrating old POS systems to new ones. This role involves not only coding but also setting up pipelines and pushing to production. Key Responsibilities: Architect and develop large-scale systems with a focus on scalability and delivering sub-second latencies with 99.99% uptime. Migrate old POS systems to new ones, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process. Push updates and new features to production environments. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Clojure. Design and implement algorithms and data structures to solve complex problems. Develop and maintain microservices-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs. Build and optimize cloud-based applications, focusing on scalability, data-driven solutions, and cost optimization. Process large amounts of data using Kafka. Utilize containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Ensure high performance, scalability, and system architecture while minimizing technical debt. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum). Work with non-relational databases (e.g., CosmosDB) to manage and store data. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
