Overview

The Communications Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of communications projects assigned by the Communications Director from inception to completion. This includes defining project scope, establishing timelines, managing resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Communications Project Manager works under the supervision of the Communications Director and requires a high level of collaboration and communication with the design team, video team and ministry leads to achieve project objectives and maintain synergy in all organizational communications, brand, and creative direction. Become a member of Abundant Life Church. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Oversees and coordinates all aspects of assigned communications projects from inception to completion. Works under the supervision of the Communications Director to develop strategies, identify resources, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Works directly as the Communications Team liaison for ministries including Womens, Mens, Live Sent (Missions), Groups, Homeschool, Family, Singles, Care, Senior Adults, to oversee ministry communication needs. Collaborates closely with designers, videographers, ministry leaders, and other stakeholders to identify project goals and budget, manage project expectations and timelines. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders. Creates project timelines from requests and available resources. Communicate timelines with ministries through project management software Monday.com. Tracks project progress, identifies potential setbacks, and provides regular updates to the Communications Director and ministry leads. Ensure plans are established and properly approved prior to the commencement of work including content, budget, and availability of resources. Works closely with the design team, video team, and ministry leads to maintain synergy in communications, brand, and creative direction. Identifies and resolves project challenges and issues in a timely and effective manner. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies. Ensure ministries receive timely and appropriate project information. Lead MarComms and project kick-off meetings for assigned ministries and regularly collaborates and communicates with ministries to ensure all communications expectations are met. Work closely with team members to meet deadlines. Manages the communications volunteer onboarding and assignment scheduling process. Works under the supervision of the Communications Director. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications

This position requires someone with excellent time-management skills and a high level of organizational detail for multiple projects at a time that can thrive in a deadline-heavy work environment. To be successful, the Project Manager needs to have exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written. An understanding of basic communication and marketing principles and best practices using various tools and methods including written, print, digital, and visual is highly recommended. A positive, outgoing, and friendly attitude are vital to the success of this position, as is the ability to be assertive, tenacious, and detail oriented. The capability to thrive in a collaborative environment of healthy critique is vital to the daily operation of the ministry. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products including, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and SharePoint is required. Previous project coordination or project management experience is required. Previous experience in communications, marketing, graphic design, etc., preferred.
