Supply Chain Strategist
and take a lead role in transforming procurement and inventory operations across multiple manufacturing sites in the thriving
frozen food industry . This role is ideal for strategic thinkers with a strong analytical mindset who thrive in cross-functional environments and are ready to make a direct impact on cost control, supplier performance, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Partner with purchasing teams across manufacturing sites to streamline sourcing strategies. Analyze supplier risk, pricing volatility, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Develop robust supplier relationships that ensure quality, reliability, and value. Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and performance evaluation. Implement sustainable and risk-mitigating sourcing strategies. Contribute to long-term supply chain strategy to boost efficiency and scalability. Drive initiatives for network optimizationfrom raw material sourcing to distribution. Align sourcing decisions with business growth and product innovation goals.
Analytics-Driven Decision Making
Leverage data, predictive analytics, and AI tools to improve demand forecasting and reduce inefficiencies. Monitor KPIs through intuitive dashboards to identify trends and optimize workflows. Work with finance, operations, marketing, and sales to ensure a synchronized demand-supply plan. Promote interdepartmental alignment and continuous improvement across the supply chain. Ensure adherence to industry regulations, food safety standards, and sustainability goals. Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chainideally in food manufacturing or consumer goods. Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint). Solid foundation in mathematical and statistical analysis. Effective project management and cross-team communication skills. Negotiation expertise and strong supplier relationship capabilities. Familiarity with global supply chain trends and sustainability practices. Willingness to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally). Bilingual skills (Japanese-English) are a strong plus. Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet environments typical of food manufacturing settings. Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 85 pounds. Capable of performing physical movements including standing, bending, reaching, and sensory tasks like taste and smell.
