The Enrollment and Billing Specialist manages the enrollment process and billing operations for insurance benefits. This role involves interacting with clients, processing insurance applications, handling billing inquiries, and ensuring accuracy in all transactions. The specialist works closely with insurance brokers and clients to facilitate smooth enrollment and billing experiences.
In this role you will
Manage the Enrollment Process by
Assisting clients in completing insurance applications and enrollment forms, verifying eligibility, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client enrollments, working with insurance carriers to resolve enrollment issues, and processing enrollments and terminations through carrier portal and/or employer online platform. Attending on-site Open Enrollment Meetings to assist with online enrollment (Bentek Assistance). Attending Health and Wellness Fairs. Handle Billing Operations
Process and review insurance premiums and billing statements, manage invoicing, and ensure timely collection of payments. Address billing discrepancies and resolve any issues with clients or carriers. Monitor account balances and perform account reconciliations. Work processes related to claims reporting, funding reports, clinic billing, and carrier invoice. Provide Superior Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding enrollment and billing inquiries. Educate clients on their insurance benefits and billing procedures. Assist with resolving complaints and ensuring client satisfaction. Handle Compliance and Reporting
Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies. Generate and review reports related to enrollment and billing activities. Maintain confidentiality of client information and data security. Collaborate With and Across Teams
Work closely with insurance brokers and other team members to streamline processes. Provide support for special projects and initiatives related to insurance benefits. Coordinate agenda and meeting packets. Attend monthly Board Meetings, send out monthly agenda, and take minutes (SLCFD). Qualified Candidates will Possess
Florida 2-15 Insurance Licensing required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in insurance or billing preferred. Proven experience in enrollment and billing, preferably in an insurance or benefits brokerage setting. Strong understanding of insurance policies, benefits, and billing procedures. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in MS Office and insurance management software. Strong communication and customer service skills. This is an in-office position that will require travel for Open Enrollment sessions. The environment is fast-paced with deadlines and a high volume of transactions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
