Account Director - Technology Sector (Consulting & Engineering Services)

Lead long-term, sustainable, profitable growth in North America for existing global key client(s) in the Technology Sector. Lead and manage regional account relationships to establish Arcadis as a trusted partner and achieve growth in accounts managed. Reports to North American Technology Sector Leader. Role accountabilities
Develop and implement Account Strategy; Prepare and execute account plans to translate strategy into concrete objectives, actions, and outcomes; Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of target clients and the technology sector to identify key trends and opportunities, with existing clients and across the sector. Client Development
Drive overall growth in client account plan bookings, gross margin, and collections to meet or exceed targets. Maintain a focus on customer experience (CX) throughout all client interactions at each touchpoint. Develop and expand a network of relationships across Operations and Solutions to maximize impact with clients. Capture client data on regional accounts (track record, case studies, sales collateral, relationship history, delivery lessons learned) and share to support continuous improvement. Manage pursuits, contribute to bid/no-bid decisions with local knowledge, oversee proposal preparation, and support successful pursuits. Manage the regional pipeline and feed opportunities into the business line pipeline to maintain an optimal flow of pursuits toward targets. Collaborate with Solutions and Service leaders to align Arcadis value propositions into commercially viable propositions for the account. Develop enduring client relationships locally to understand business needs, position Arcadis as a trusted partner, and grow client relationships. People
Create a positive account team culture built on growth and accountability. Work with project teams in operations to achieve high performance, growth, and development. Foster relationships across Arcadis to maximize opportunities to cross-sell and advance client value. Collaborate with operations leads to ensure resource availability and high retention. Share knowledge of key trends and opportunities for our target clients and the technology sector aligned with Arcadis mission. Key Shared Services
Work with (G)BA Sales teams to determine client strategy. Collaborate with peers to develop sector synergies. Implement new business models and apply commercial skills developed by the commercial excellence function. Support marketing strategies (campaigns, events) targeted at clients and sector. Engage with delivery teams to drive resource outcomes supporting growth and delivery excellence for the account. Decision Rights
Own growth of the Key Client(s) and strategic pursuits; define and execute client strategy; lead the North America region account team. Influence project delivery and commercial contracting strategy. Qualifications & Experience
Proven track record of developing and implementing sales strategies to profitably grow client accounts. Client-focused relationship building to improve client outcomes. Significant leadership capability and ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams. Experience as a senior client developer with regional or global presence in the sector. Ambitious mindset with drive to grow the business and meet targets. Aptitude to manage executive-level relationships and to inspire account and pursuit teams. Entrepreneurial attitude, strategic focus, and strong commercial drive and decisiveness. Strong communication skills to present Arcadis value propositions and manage complex topics. Collaborative approach to diversify client accounts and promote engagement as a community. Mentorship and sharing best practices with fellow account leaders. Salary range: $182,293 - $209,636. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, EAP, 401K, disability insurance, life insurance, parental leave, recognition programs, and optional well-being benefits, adoption assistance, and tuition reimbursement.
